HOW TO
ENTER A RACE

National Race Licence

The first step required to compete in the Australian MiniGP Championship is to ensure you have a race licence.
For seniors, this is a matter of just applying via RiderNet for a new licence, or you can upgrade your existing licence.

For juniors (under 16 years old) an RR85(2)160(4) endorsement along with a Kickstarter program is required. Contact dim@ohvale.com.au for more info on how to enrol in a Kickstarter / endorsement program.

Register & Enter the event

Head to RiderNet and search for "minigp" under events and then select the event*.

From here, register for the event and class you are after. Once registered, you will receive an information pack with forms and requirements to be completed.
*Please note - only events that are currently open for registration will appear

Complete all relevant forms

From our Resources->Forms page: https://www.ohvale.com.au/forms

Please download them and return to the Race Secretary for the series, Kel Spargo <racesec@ohvale.com.au>

This needs to be done prior to the race day.

Below forms are required:

  • Guardianship of Minor - FIM MiniGP Series / Support classes (relevant to under 18 only)

  • Media Release Form (relevant to under 18 only)

  • Medical Information Form

  • Rider Profile

  • Rider Number Form

Cross Entries

A cross entry is when you have entered a class, but also wish to enter a second class. For example, if you are over 35 years of age and wish to enter in both Ohvale GP-0 / GP-2 and Veterans class you can do so. Or perhaps you have an Ohvale GP-0 and also a Grom and wish to enter into both the GP-0 and Grom classes. The incremental cost for a cross entry is only $50, so it is highly encouraged to cross enter into multiple classes where possible.

What next?

Once all the above is done, it is your job to ensure your bike & equipment will pass scrutineering and are as per the regulations.
